Hello!!!

This coming meeting we will be having a brief discussion about event planning and what we want to do for the rest of the quarter. This will be followed by a potluck and watching the votes come in. So if you're looking for a place to see history in the making this is the meeting for you! Bring food if you can. We will be discussing the results as they are revealed so be prepared! Tuesday's Meeting

Hey there everyone,

Once again, we'll be meeting on Tuesday at 4 p.m. in VU462B. 

This week we'll be chatting about what it means to be an activist.  Also, we'll be getting people signed up for our first tabling event for the year which will take place inside the Viking Union Wednesday through Friday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Bake Sale

Hey everyone this is just a reminder to those that signed up for the bake sale tomorrow through Friday. All those who signed up to bake things for the sale tomorrow, please be sure to bring your baked goods to vendor's row by 11:00. Even if you didn't sign up to bring anything, feel free to do so anyway! It would be much appreciated. Also remember to show up at the times that you signed up for. Either Haley or Luke will make sure that the materials are prepared for you. Thanks!

Low Rider Show Meeting

Hello ALL!

So last meeting we discussed being involved with the annual Low Riders Show that happens in May. There is an informational meeting this coming Monday April 16th at 7:30pm in the Activities Room, which is located on the 4th floor of the VU next to the ESC. I believe it is room 425. Please show up to this meeting if you can because tasks/volunteer opportunities will be assigned at this time. I will definitely be there :)

In addition, we will be planning our last meeting of the quarter which is sure to be fun and educational!

 

Last thing, we received an email requesting participation by members of our group to partake in a survey about LGBTQ health care. The requirements for participation in this study are that you are at least 18 years of age or older, self-identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgender, and currently have a primary care physician.

Queers and Allies for Activism Facebook Photo Contest

We're looking to change our Facebook picture and want you to design it. The only rule is that somewhere in the picture you create, the QAAFA Pink Triangle logo must be included. Doesn't matter where or how, just included.
Post your picture to QAAFA's Facebook page by February 12. The Exec Board will then narrow the field down to the five best and then the club will vote to pick the winner.
The winning picture will become the default QAAFA Facebook profile picture and the artist will win a gift card to spend and enjoy.
